I entered the construction industry in 2018 after leaving college midway through an engineering course that no longer inspired me. Working full-time in construction, I gained hands-on experience across extensions, patios, renovations, and general building projects. Over four years, I developed strong practical skills, particularly in bricklaying, under the guidance of an experienced and patient builder who helped shape my craft and confidence on site.
In 2022, I briefly stepped away from construction to start a marketing agency with my cousins, driven by the idea of building a location-independent lifestyle. While the concept was exciting at first, it quickly became clear it wasn’t the right path for me. Throughout this period, I continued working in construction to stay grounded, and ultimately we chose to close the business once we realised it brought neither fulfilment nor enjoyment.
In 2023, I began attending church and building my faith, which led to a renewed sense of purpose. Today, I feel called to serve my local community—particularly those who need reliable, high-quality building work but may not have access to expensive tradesmen. By shifting my focus from personal ambition to helping others, I’ve found genuine fulfilment and honour in the work I do, and I’m grateful to continue this journey with purpose and integrity.
